Media Wire – Terms & Conditions for Press Release Submissions

Editorial Standards & Submission Requirements

At Media Wire, we maintain a strict editorial policy to ensure all press releases distributed through our platform are timely, relevant, and presented in a professional, journalistic tone. Our editorial team carefully reviews each submission to verify its newsworthiness, factual accuracy, and adherence to the standards of a proper press release format.

To facilitate a smooth review process and prompt publication, please observe the following submission guidelines:

1. Newsworthy and Relevant Content

Media Wire accepts only press releases that present legitimate news stories. Appropriate topics include product launches, corporate announcements, industry insights, awards, events, partnerships, or expert commentary on current trends. Headlines should clearly reflect the announcement. Content that functions as pure advertising or promotional hype will be rejected.

2. Professional Tone

Submissions must maintain an objective, third-person voice. Avoid direct addresses like “you,” “we,” or “I,” unless used within direct quotes from authorized representatives. Excessive use of exclamation points, hyperbole, or ALL CAPS is discouraged and may result in rejection or revision requests.

3. Attribution and Source Verification

All data, statistics, and third-party claims must be properly attributed to a credible source. If citing an organization such as the FDA or a research institution, include a working hyperlink within the relevant sentence. These links are not counted toward your standard hyperlink allowance.

4. Legal Accuracy and Documentation

Any press release referencing ongoing legal matters, regulatory action, or criminal cases must include appropriate documentation, such as a case number or public record. Media Wire reserves the right to request verification before approving distribution.

5. Authorization for Sensitive or Representational Content

In cases involving stock symbols, franchise or network marketing content, or major corporate disclosures, Media Wire may require a signed letter of authorization from a company executive. This includes independent representatives of MLM or party plan companies.

6. Word Count and Summary

Your press release should be between 300 and 800 words. Include a 1–2 sentence summary that clearly captures the essence of your announcement.

7. Spelling and Grammar

All submissions should be proofread for grammatical accuracy and spelling. Industry terms and acronyms should be accompanied by brief explanations for clarity.

8. Formatting Standards

Media Wire does not accept press releases containing HTML code, non-standard characters, forced formatting, or documents written in all caps. Ensure that all hyperlinks are functional prior to submission. If your website is offline during review, the link must be removed or the release delayed.

9. Clear Source Identification

The issuing organization must be clearly stated in the headline and body of the release. If you are submitting on behalf of a client, their business name should be listed as the source of the announcement.

10. Email Display

Email addresses included in the release body will be reformatted to reduce the risk of spam (e.g., name (at) domain (dot) com).
